Charlotte's Web
Today my class started reading the book called Charlotte's Web. We've only read the first chapter. So far, it's about a girl named Fern who saves a little dainty pig from being killed by her dad. She names the pig Wilber. I might tell you more but I don't want to spoil the book for you if you haven't read it.

Did you know Grandad brought home a pig that we named Wilbur because we had read Charlotte's Web? He was really small and pink when he came to live with us but he got big enough to run all over the yard. Grandad said it was for Uncle Andy, but we all knew it was really Grandad's pig.
